I ask because i have a great idea and marketing techniques…. but the thing is, i want to know if it is worth the time and effort to make a forum for money. Sure i will be an actve member on my board… but can you tell me aprox. how much money i COULD make, or what the average forum makes?

Basically you can earn money by either charging for membership or displaying advertisements.
How much you can earn depends on a lot of factors:
- how well you place your ads
- how busy your forum is
- topics of the forum, how likely the audience is to click on ads and how much the ads for things related to the topics pay per click on average.

If you think you can generate high traffic to the forum, go for it. The opportunity to earn good money is definitely there. I know of forums that are estimated to earn up to around $250k per month, possibly more.
